David Blum, President – Self Storage
David Blum is a business graduate of Boston University and holds a Masters Degree in Marketing Management from Fordham University in New York. After an extensive and varied career in retail and truck rental Mr. Blum entered the self-storage industry full time in 1996. A district manager for Storage USA, Mr. Blum went on to become Vice President of Operation for Budget Mini-Storage in South Florida .In 2003 he began he own consulting practice, with clients throughout the United States, Mexico, South America, Europe, Greece and Israel.
In 1998 Mr. Blum co-founded the Florida Self-Storage Association. He was president until January 1, 2004. Mr. Blum has been a regional board member of the National Self-Storage Association, and continues to represent Florida as an FSSA Trustee. He is a frequent contributor to many trade publications including Mini-Storage Messenger, Inside Self-Storage, and The Self Storage Telegram
